How to Execute a Trade on TradingView Platform

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to execute a trade directly on the TradingView platform using your Vantage account. But first, a quick reminder: you’ll need to have your Vantage TradingView account set up in your client portal. If you haven’t done that yet, we’ve got a separate video tutorial for setting up your account—make sure to check that out first.

Once you’re all set, let’s dive into the steps for placing a trade directly on TradingView.

Step 1: Log in to Your TradingView Account

First, make sure you’re logged into your TradingView account. Once logged in, go ahead and open the Chart window, where you can view live price movements and manage your trades.

Step 2: Open the Trading Panel

Next, you need to open the Trading Panel at the bottom of your screen. This panel is where you’ll manage all your trading activities. Click to open it, and you’ll be able to connect your trading account and manage your positions.

Step 3: Choose Your Trading Instrument

Once your panel is open, choose the instrument you want to trade. For example, if you want to trade Gold, search for XAUUSD. Ensure that you select the correct symbol for the asset you want to trade.

Step 4: Click the Trade Button

Now, find the Trade button in the upper left corner of the chart window. Click on it, and it will automatically open the Order Panel, where you can set up your trade.

Step 5: Select Buy or Sell

In the Order Panel, you will have the option to Buy or Sell. If you expect the price to rise, click Buy. If you think the price will fall, click Sell. This decision depends on your market analysis and trading strategy.

Step 6: Set Your Trade Size and Risk Management

Next, enter your trade size (lot size). This defines how much of the asset you are trading. It’s also highly recommended to set a Stop Loss and Take Profit. The Stop Loss limits your potential loss, while the Take Profit locks in your profit when your target is reached.

Step 7: Execute Your Trade

Once all the settings are to your liking, click Buy or Sell to execute your trade. Congratulations! You’ve just placed a trade directly from TradingView.
