Step 1: Log In to Your MetaTrader Platform

Start by opening and logging in to your MetaTrader platform. If it is your first time logging in, you will notice a Mailbox section where important messages and account details are stored.

Inside the mailbox, you will find key details about your trading account. This includes both your Master Password and your Investor Password.

Step 2: Know the Difference Between Passwords

Before moving forward, it is important to understand the difference between the two passwords:

• Your Master Password gives you full access to your account. You can place, modify, and close trades.
  
• Your Investor Password is for view-only access. It allows others to log in and view your trades, but they will not be able to execute or change anything.
  

This setup is helpful when sharing account performance without giving full control.

Step 3: Copy Your Master Password

To change the Investor Password, you will need to use your Master Password. So make sure to copy it first before heading into the next step.

Step 4: Open the Change Password Settings

Go to the Tools menu at the top of your MetaTrader platform. Then click on Options.

In the Options window, find and click the Change button next to your password settings. This will open a pop-up window.

Step 5: Enter Your New Investor Password

In the pop-up, you will be asked to enter your Master Password first. Once that is done, select the option that says Change Investor Password.

Now go to the section labeled New Password and type in your new Investor Password. Then, type the same password again in the Confirm field to make sure both entries match.

Once done, click OK or confirm, and your Investor Password will be updated right away.
