Hey traders! Thinking of adjusting the leverage on your trading account? Whether you want to scale it up or lower it for better risk management, it only takes a few simple steps. In this short tutorial, we will guide you through the process using the client portal. Let us show you exactly how it is done.
Step 1: Log In to Your Client Portal
Start by heading over to your client portal and log in with your credentials.
Once logged in, go straight to the Accounts section. This is where you can manage and view all your trading accounts.
Step 2: Select the Account You Want to Update
After reaching your accounts list, choose the specific account where you want to change the leverage setting.
For this example, let us say we are using a demo account. You can follow the same steps for live accounts too.
Step 3: Go to Settings and Choose Change Leverage
Next, look at the right side of your chosen account. You will see a small settings icon (gear symbol). Click it and then select Change Leverage from the dropdown menu.
This will take you to a page where you can adjust your leverage level.
Step 4: Adjust Your Leverage
Here, you will see your current leverage level. In our example, it is set to 1:500, which is the maximum allowed.
If your current setting is below the maximum, you will have the option to change it higher or lower, depending on your needs and risk tolerance.
Since our account is already set to the maximum in this case, no further increase is possible. However, if you want to reduce the leverage for safer trading, you can select a lower value from the dropdown.
Step 5: Confirm the Changes
Once you have selected the new leverage level, simply click Confirm.
That is it. Your new leverage setting will now be applied to your account.
That’s It
Changing your account leverage is simple and quick through the client portal. Whether you are adjusting for strategy or risk, this process keeps you in control of your trading setup.
